(1) Shore Cottage - The Clan Colquhoun Heritage Centre  - is Open

At last, after all the hard work, the centre is open, this is at present 'A project in progress' but none the less is open for business for few hours over the weekend, the public are welcome to come in for a preview.
(2) Camstraddan Artefacts and Portrait Photo Project
A long and constructive meeting was had with Sir Malcolm, at Camstraddan, on Monday 27 September. Arrangements are now in place for Rachel to visit Camstraddan on 25 October to view the artefacts Sir Malcolm is loaning to the museum.  They will be a very positive addition to the centre. Arrangements are also in place for Mike Davidson, the photographer, to attend both Rossdhu House and Camstraddan on 25 October to complete the "Portrait photographs".

(5) CLAN COLQUHOUN ANNUAL GATHERING 2011

Important news for those attending the gathering - the Colquhoun Arms Hotel is closed but the hotel car park will remain open during the four days of the gathering for those attending the gathering only. There will be signs put up at the car park to this effect.

The 2011 Annual Clan Gathering will take place between 0900 Friday 01 July and  1800 Sunday 03 July 2011.

ITINERARY

Thursday 30 June - Informal members ‘get-together’ from 19:30 to be held in the Clan Colquhoun Heritage and Visitor Centre at Shore Cottage, There will be a buffet supper (provided by Rowena Ferguson of the Coach Horse Coffee Shop) at minimal prices. Please bring your own alcoholic or other beverages. We hope to see many of you there and look forward to a convivial start to the Gathering.

Friday 01 July    
09:00-17:00    Clan Lands Tour including internal access to Rossdhu House. Tour will start and finish at the Colquhoun Arms Hotel Car Park..
 
19:00-20:30   Social event at Camstraddan House (Home of Sir Malcolm and Lady Katherine Colquhoun) and hosted by Patrick Colquhoun the Younger of Luss (All members to meet in the Colquhoun Arms Car Park at 1830).
 
Saturday 02 July    
10:30   Colquhoun Clan March behind Patrick Colquhoun (Yr of Luss) and The Inverary Pipe Band from Luss car park through Luss Village to the Pier.
Musical interlude at the Pier followed by March to Games Field (Members will be able to purchase Games tickets prior to march).
11:00-17:00   Clan Tent at Luss Highland Games.
     
Sunday 03 July    
10:00   Clan Colquhoun Society Annual General Meeting at Clan Colquhoun Heritage and Visitor Centre, Shore Cottage, Luss
All visiting members are requested to attend.
11:45   Sunday Service at Luss Parish Church (optional)
13:15-14:45   Cruise Loch Lomond from and to Luss Pier. Cruise through the Loch Lomond islands, many with Colquhoun connections, accompanied by live commentary. This is a routine cruise with full bar and tea/coffee facilities available. Members to pay their own fare on boarding. (Adult £9.50 Children £6.00)
15:00- 18:00   Clan BBQ to be held in the grounds of Shore Cottage. In the event of rain, the BBQ will be replaced by a gathering in the Clan Colquhoun Heritage and Visitor Centre at Shore Cottage.
